It’s all changed now, with the event Death of Doctor Strange, written by Jed MacKay and penciled by Lee Garbett.
Doctor Stephen Strange is known as the world’s greatest neurosurgeon and Earth’s Sorcerer Supreme (except for that time when, you know, Loki took that title). He defends our planet from the supernatural and interdimensional threats no other hero is equipped to handle. But what would happen if he unexpectedly died? Who would protect Earth and keep the mystical evils at bay? And most importantly…who killed Stephen Strange?!

Jed MacKay makes his debut on Doctor Strange with Death of Doctor Strange. Before him, Mark Waid was the Sorcerer Supreme’s writer, with the last series canceled after six issues. Death of Dr. Strange picks up right after this.

The event is still ongoing. We’ll update this part when we know more about Doctor Strange’s future… Marvel already announced that a new Sorcerer Supreme will rise in March 2022 in the aftermath of the miniseries, but no more details.
